It was a beautiful day and we had enjoyed a wonderful walk around Pors Poulhan, but I was keen to see more of the coast and so we used the map to follow small roads further south.
Walk no.21 in Wendy Mewes’ Walks in Finistère is varied and interesting – she is a veritable ‘curator of walks’, creating routes with variety and interest.

After a wonderful two days in Rennes it was time to set off for our gîte at Gouesn’ach, near Quimper, and the Brittany coast.
The Abbey of St Melaine’s tower appeared through the trees of The Thabor Gardens at the end of our walk and proved to be another ‘must-visit’ in this amazing town of Rennes.

The Mediaeval City of Rennes is fabulous despite the disastrous fire of 1720. I wandered with my camera and here I just want to share some of the sights.
