We were looking for a walk in the Franschhoek Valley and the Tourist Office in Franschhoek, gave us information about a trail at The La Motte Vineyard.
Walking around the Stellenbosch Village Museum had been hot work and we needed refreshment! The Stellenbosch Botanic Gardens are popular at all times of the day.
The journey was coming to an end – I could still hardly believe the incredible landscapes of South Africa.

I was sad to leave Swellendam – it had been a wonderful few days – but we had our final long drive ahead – 211 kms from Swellendam to Stellenbosch where we were spending our last week in South Africa.
