We visited Holt on a glorious, summery day in mid-September and afterwards went to explore the nearby Baconsthorpe Castle in Norfolk, intending to visit Heydon which was close to Reepham where we were based.
I had read interesting reviews of Holt and Baconsthorpe Castle in North Norfolk and so we set off to explore both on a glorious, summery day in mid-September. We started at Holt.
Travelling from A to B is always an opportunity to see things along the way that you wouldn’t necessarily visit and on the road to North Norfolk we stopped at one or two small places in addition to Wymondham Abbey.
