Six weeks in Spain suddenly came to an end and then it was over. It felt like we had been away a long time, and yet hardly at all. There are so many wonderful memories!
Cangas de Onis to Santander
We left quite early in the morning as we had to be at the ferry port at 12.00am. The short drive from Cangas de Onis to the coastal motorway was very attractive and deserted.

Santander and the ferry
Boarding the ferry took a very long time and seemed to be extremely complicated. However, it was eventually achieved and we sailed on time.

It was a slightly choppy crossing at times but nothing to worry about and we arrived safely in Portsmouth the following evening. It had been wonderful, if somewhat fraught for a while! And now we are planning 2024… Well, you need something to draw you onwards and keep up the spirits. And in the meantime I will continue on www.enthusiasticgardener.com and the new book, Green Greenwich. Do join me!
I would love to hear from you!
