Saturday morning dawned somewhat grey – the first greyish day we had seen, but it was the market day in Leon and off we went! The produce in the market is amazingly good – we don’t see goods of this quality in the UK. It made me wonder why the UK supermarkets bother to import, or sell, the rather insipid fruit and vegetables that they do sell – almost better to do without, as indeed we may have to do!








Fabulous! I bought absolutely delicious cheeses and very good bread, as well as fruit.
