Tumulus of Kercado

I needed a change from lines of stones – the Tumulus of Kercado, c.4,500BC

The Tumulus is away from the alignments, down a long avenue and amongst trees. It is a burial mound with a small standing stone on the top, and surrounded by an incomplete circle of stones. I did not venture inside as I suffer from claustrophobia. It was quiet, undisturbed, and there were none of the crowds we had encountered at Le Menec. There was also no information board.
