The Fiske family held the Manor of Stadhaugh in Laxfield, and piecing together accurate information about the ‘William Fiske‘ who is buried in Cratfield will take time! The family was large, with a long history, as the book by Frederick Clifton Pierce indicates, and this post lists the earliest ‘Fisk’ as before 1360, in Laxfield. The Manor is listed as ‘before 1380’.
