Mr Bradshaw and I were wandering in the streets around Covent Garden, and in Russell Street is The Fortune Theatre opened in 1924, the first theatre to be built in London after WWI. Mr Bradshaw could not have known the theatre, an art deco building designed by Ernest Schaufelberg, who also sculpted this lovely figure on the side of the building.

That is just beautiful! I am always astonished at the accomplishments of artists. It looks so smooth and easy, like they just grew a person out of thin air instead of having to carve it out of rock and stone. Lovely!

Yes, I agree with you; it ‘feels’ like a real person – really beautiful, and the light makes it even more special. I am pleased you like it.
