Market day in Soria is on a Thursday morning on the square and streets around the covered market. It is fun and crowded!
Outdoor Market

The fruit is plentiful: peaches are enormous, as are the nectarines. There are figs, grapes, flat peaches, melons and oranges. There are plenty of vegetables too: beans, leeks, potatoes, various kinds of lettuce and the biggest tomatoes I have ever seen, peppers of all shapes and sizes and lettuces. And they are cheap by comparison to England.

Indoor Market
The indoor market is where you find the butchers, poultry sellers, offal stalls, fishmongers, cheese stalls and other delicatessen’s. Just look at those cheeses! The pastas and rice mixtures were interesting, and as always the fish stall is mind-blowing.

I always enjoy markets and this one was no exception! I came away with two bags of dried beans – green and big white ones, entirely happy and just like the ladies below.

I would love to hear from you!
