The interior of the Church at La Martyre

Yes, this is a Church with murals but without a tripod I didn’t even try – all these photographs are handheld, no flash of course.

I just wanted to enjoy the interior so only a few facts this time. The stained glass dates to 1535 and the internet reports widely that it was by Jost de Negker. However, he appears to have been a printmaker and publisher in Leiden and Augsburg… The elaborate font cover is from 1635.

I hope you have enjoyed this glorious site as much as I do – more exploring in Brittany still to come!
