This was sadly the last day in Sizun and we walked in the Forest of Cranou. The forest stretches over 600 hectares and there are many marked paths. We used the Carte Randonnée 0517OT and fashioned a 2-hour circuit.

As you can see there are many possibilities for walking in this area – a really good walk, however, would include a little more variety and venture out to the moors. In times gone by the wood was used for ships’ hulls and masts, probably in the nearby port of Le Faou, and so that seemed like a good idea for a coffee stop!
