It had been a wonderful day wandering around Roscoff and then discovering the Jardin Botanique et ExotiqueNow we needed a cup of coffee and so we stopped in St Pol de Leon. The Cathedral was closed for a wedding but we wandered down the road to see the Kreisker Chapel – Wow!

The area has been inhabited since prehistoric times, and the Romans had a military base here in the 3C. The first Cathedral was built in the 6C and today’s building dates from the 13C. By the 15C this was an important religious site with numerous religious communities and buildings. The decline came during the French Revolutions. The Kreisker Chapel dates from the 14C and 15C
