The Parador at Verin is a Galician Manor House and it offers comfortable and peaceful accommodation in what feels more like a large mansion house, rather than a small hotel. I can’t establish the age of the building, or its history…
The Parador
A winding road through the vineyards takes you to the Castle of Monterrei and also the Parador where we enjoyed a few days – sadly not long enough.
The Wedding
We were at the Parador over a weekend and on the Saturday there was a wedding celebration! There was a flurry of activity in the middle of the day, with the bride and guests in elaborate and gorgeous apparel. Really smart and impressive!
Apparently the celebrations went on til 5.00am the next morning when the happy couple’s car had been carefully prepared for them….
The stay in the Parador of Verin was comfortable, enjoyable and interesting. More to come about the town!
