Burgos Cathedral and other churches in the city are all well worth visiting, and revisiting. They all have something different to offer and you can easily spend many hours in each of them, enjoying the details.
Burgos Cathedral
We stayed in the same AirBnB, opposite the Cathedral two years ago and I wrote about the Cathedral, a World Heritage Site, on a previous visit and there is lots of information about the outside, and the inside. There is just a taste of the extraordinary building here.

Church of San Nicolas of Bari
San Nicolas of Bari in BurgosThis church is on the Camino, just above the Cathedral. And the most remarkable sight in the church is the carved altarpiece. (Details in a previous post.) What was also interesting is that there is church dedicated to St Nicholas in Deptford, London, and another in Plumstead. Both these churches will be in Green Greenwich which will be published in 2025.

Church of San Gil
By contrast, the Church of San Gil Abad is simpler, calmer and more spiritual, and, as in 2022, I returned several times.

Above is the nave, and below, San Gil, a cross view in the church, one of the Chapels, and part of the ceiling.

San Esteban
San Esteban is a museum which houses retablos, carvings, and other works of art rescued from churches in the province of Burgos. This was also a building which we visited two years ago, but it was good to return.

Although we had visited all these churches on a previous stay in Burgos it was a joy to return.

It does look like a beautiful venue. I was there on another blog today. You portray it very invitingly.
