A quiet day in Argomaniz

We had settled into a wonderful Parador, overlooking this plain with Vitoria in the distance, and decided on a quiet day in Argomaniz. We decided not to tackle a big city, but amuse ourselves more slowly.

Church of San Andres in Argomaniz

The church is about five minutes’ walk from the Parador, and looks in poor condition. It was, of course, locked, but I found some information about the interior.[efn+note]https://www.argomaniz.org/historia.html[/efn+note]1 A little gate leads into a small cemetery.

A ‘short’ walk

The previous day had been a long day in the car and so a quiet first day in Argomaniz seemed a good thing, with a short walk. In the event we followed a circuit around Mount Zabalgana, behind the Parador, with a vew deviations, and it was c.4 kms! It has been described as an easy stroll of 2.1 kms, but I don’t beieve this, and it certainly didn’t take us 33 minutes!

And then, thankfully, we were back at the Parador and I could put my feet up with a hot beanbag!
