Guildhall in Sandwich

The Guildhall in Sandwich is a very attractive old building which also houses the museum. We started the day here before going out of the town to explore the Monks Wall Nature Reserve. It was rather a grey day, and rain was threatening, but when you are on holiday there is no time to just sit still!

Sandwich Guildhall

The Guildhall in Sandwich dates from the 16th century, and stands on the former cattle market square.

Courtroom

The old courtroom has quite an atmosphere! The stained glass window (20th century) shows Elizabeth I arring in the town in the 16th century.

Museum

The MUseum is tiny, but interesting.

The Guildhall in Sandwich and its tiny museum are well worth a visit!
