Echo Ravine in The Golden Gate National Park

The ‘there and back’ walk to Echo Ravine in the Golden Gate National Park was fabulous! The weather continued very hot indeed and so we set off at 9.00am – by early afternoon the weatherman was promising us c.35C! The walk is c.2kms and we took 1.5 hours which included lingering over photographs and enjoying the views.

Welcome shade & rich vegetation

As you climb out of the valley there are wonderful views.

The views past the Brandwag Buttress & towards Clarens
The views past the Mushroom Rocks

In the ravine there are only two waymarks so just keep heading upwards!
