Travelling to Northern Spain

We were travelling to Northern Spain by Ferry, but instead of leaving from Portsmouth as planned we were diverted to Plymouth and so the trip started with a long drive. Fortunately it was an uneventful drive and the weather when we arrived in Plymouth was warm and calm, promising a comfortable crossing through the Bay of Biscay.

Portsmouth and the Ferry to Spain

Before boarding the ferry there was time to stretch our legs on the Hoe, along with many others enjoying the view and the sunshine!

Finally we were able to board the ferry and we headed for an early dinner. Good food was followed by lots of sleep and the next day everyone was out in the sunshine!

Another good dinner, this time on the seafront in Santander and so to bed.

More sleep, and we were ready to set off!
