Walking around the Reservoir of Drennec

The Drennec Reservoir was created by damming the Elorn and Mougau Rivers and created in 1981. It provides water to the north of Finistère as well as giving leisure opportunities to the local communities. Apparently the trout fishing in the reservoir is particularly good! We parked in the public carpark at the reservoir from where we fashioned a circular walk.

Just below the reservoir wall is a trout hatchery and after that the walk is along rivers, hills and through woods. Lovely!

Sitting in the UK, many weeks later in winter, posting these photographs brings back many wonderful memories.
