This was our first walk using the new book of walks which we were given in the very helpful Tourist Office in Nisa. The book is not on the internet, and can’t be bought in a bookshop. Various town councils list the walks in their area on their internet sites and brochures can be downloaded. My best advice is to visit the local tourist office and see what they have, and this site has lots brochures for downloading.
4.25kms, steep down and up, c.1.75 hours
We parked at the top of the village, next to the school and the noticeboard, as directed by the book, and set off down the road, through what seemed like a deserted village, out into the countryside. Written directions are ok and there are signposts and waymarks – you can’t lose the way!
And afterwards, in Nisa, we enjoyed coffee, pastele de nata, and a delicious orange cake.
