We had visited three churches – Locmélar, Bodilis, and Folgoët – enjoyed a coffee, and now it was time for a walk! Today the excellent Wendy Mewes guided us around Saint Méen – a short, quiet countryside amble – we could have been in England.
St Méen (d.617) was born in Gwent, South Wales, and came to Brittany with St Samson. Like many of the Saints he was renowned as a healer. He founded a Mission Centre in Brittany and then a Foundation which became the Abbey of St Méen. He is remembered in Brittany, Cornwall, and Wales.

Once outside the village the walk was along green lanes, amongst the trees, and past farms and fields – quiet and relaxing.
