After visiting Ploudiry, La Martyre, and Pencran Churches and feeling increasingly ill, it was time for a little lunch in Landerneau. And I regret that we did not explore – on the other hand the Galettes at the Crêperie du Pont were amazingly delicious and the Giacometti Exhibition was wonderful.
The Pont de Rohan was built in the 16C over the River Élorn and is apparently the oldest inhabited bridge in Europe – perhaps London Bridge looked something like this?
The exhibition of Giacometti is currently in the Fond Éduard & Hélène LeClerc. I found the Man Walking a profoundly sad piece – it made me feel the things we value, our thoughts and understandings, are so fleeting, fragile.
And the woman. If I could only make one piece in my lifetime I would love it to be this.

Quite envious of seeing the Giocometti exhibition, but I think a similar one is coming to London next month at the National Portrait Gallery.
