I have taken the plunge and signed up for a beginner’s course in photography!
The new camera has a plethora of dials and knobs and I feel completely overwhelmed by what I cannot understand. However, the tutor is patient and very positive. Our first test was to photograph (!) alphabet shapes. We tried the task during the class and I was clearly bottom – I barely knew how to turn the camera on and I didn’t know how to ‘see’. It took me all week to produce my homework – the four photographs which follow.
